We also organise a small Classic Car Show on the first day of the show, this year judged by both Paul and Andrew Wood (who was enjoying being a spectator until we gave him this job to do!), they both said that there was a fantastic selection of cars this year. The winner was a very deserving Volkswagon Beetle, the prizes were presented by Andrew’s daughter, Louise Wood.
Gillian Portus, Paul’s daughter, gave a fabulous Dressage Display in the arena, she rode a freestyle test to music. Ben Portus, Gillian’s husband, and Ian Fidderman upheld their Tractor Challenge Champion status by winning the Tractor Challenge for the second year running. Meanwhile Paul’s wife, Valerie, had taken a trade stand at the show and was run off her feet selling equestrian equipment!
