Riverside Spectacular 2011
P & A Wood have kick started the events season with the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club Southern Sections Riverside Spectacular, held at Runnymeade on Sunday 15th May.
We took a varied selection of cars ranging from a 1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Open Drive Limousine to the very latest Rolls-Royce Phantom and Ghost models. The Bentley 8 Litre chassis, mid way through restoration, caused quite a stir, as did the Gipsy Moth bi-plane which we took for display. It was a great honour for us to be entrusted with AX201, The Original Silver Ghost, and have her grace our stand.
We also took a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, owned and run by David Corbett, and our own Le Rhone rotary engine, run by Andrew Wood.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable day and hope everyone that attended did too.
