Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club Annual Rally 2019

We at P & A Wood took our usual stand in support of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club Annual Rally held from 21st to 23rd June at Burghley House in Lincolnshire.

We had our biggest stand ever with 13 cars on display, 10 available for sale and three P & A Wood restoration examples, two of which were to mark the celebration of 100 years of Bentley - a very beautiful Bentley 4¼; Litre Vanden Plas and a handsome Bentley Speed Six H.J.Mulliner Drophead Coupé. The Speed Six proudly led a parade of Bentley Motor Cars on the Saturday with its owner, Sir Michael Kadoorie, driving.

The other restored car on the stand was a very recently completed Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost 'Alpine Eagle' car which was displayed last year as a rolling chassis. The car stood out from the crowd and was admired by many.

Our collection of stunning sales cars were commented on by several of the guests as they were all in excellent condition, those that received particular attention were the Rolls-Royce Phantom III Gurney Nutting Sports Saloon named 'Ovid', the two Silvers Ghosts, the Bentley R-Type Continental and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, whilst the Bentley Flying Spur was sold.

Our customers who had entered heir cars did extremely well and we are proud to report the following results;

The weather was on our side for the duration and by 5pm Sunday after a fun-filled few days it was time to pack up with15 P & A Wood cars driving out in convoy for the journey home.

We would like to thank the RREC, our staff and mostly the customers who we caught up with, met for the first time and enjoyed chatting to for another wonderful event.
